Mission Statement
At Lakeside Montessori School, we remain loyal to Dr. Montessori’s remarkable vision and teaching method. Dr. Maria Montessori believed that the goal of early childhood education was not to fill the child with facts from a pre-selected course of studies, but rather to cultivate the child’s own natural desire to learn.
Her love and respect for all children continues to inspire our Montessori educators each and every day. In keeping with the Montessori tradition, we observe the needs of each individual child. We enable them to develop the skills, habits, attitudes and ideas that lead to a lifetime of creative thinking and learning.
We are Accredited Members of the CCMA (Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators) and every one of our teachers is a fully certified Montessori educator. It is Lakeside’s belief that only the most educated and qualified people are capable of delivering the educational excellence our children deserve.
We are also a proud member of the CDRCP Raising the Bar Program. This distinction displays our commitment to exceeding regulatory standards in our province and community and our pursuit of the highest quality care in Montessori education.
We have a subsidy agreement with the Region of Peel to help deliver affordable, high-quality education and childcare to members of our community. This relationship ensures that barriers can be removed for families that desire the very best in care and education for their children. We encourage families to learn more about this program and utilize its benefits if applicable to their circumstances.
